I would need to write a small book on my experimentation with thymol in
different matrices, with different solvents, different doses, different
placements in the hive.
50 g Apiguard gel on top of a double brood chamber, in a 1.5" rim,
repeated at 10 days works very well. Apply after removing the honey, OK in
hot weather. The bees must physically remove the gel for it to be
efficacious.
There are plenty of other promising application methods, but I've yet to
improve on the Apiguard.
