It was my understanding that the Gottland varroa-proofness, which has been held up by TF adherents as proof honey bees will quickly adapt to Varroa loads in the absence of any treatment, has been discredited.

Perhaps someone more informed could round that out? 

And to repeat myself, this is again a limited definition of success that does not refer to productivity losses or gains.
