The comparison with ant's isn't accurate, as they are sister groups which
evolved from a common ancestor of *Scoliidae* wasps.

Do *Scoliidae* wasps and their common ancestors move eggs?

*Apoidea (spheciform wasps and bees) and ants are sister groups, a novel
finding that contradicts earlier views that ants are closer to
ectoparasitoid wasps. *
