Good news indeed!  Hope things settle down for you folks out there. I have another friend that sent photos of her boxes with blistered paint (see attachment).  Her comments were that some comb melted but all the bees seemed OK.  

Yesterday the skies over Connecticut, 3000 miles east, had a slight orange tint from the fires out west.  The upper atmospheric smoke particles also blocked enough solar radiation to lower our daytime high temps by a few degrees.
