Maybe not big operators, but I have been using MAQs since they came out, whatever they cost. I've handled formic acid enough to not want to handle bulk acids if I don't have to. Considering that we will probably get 120# honey per hive (last year was better, the average was 200#) -- I can clearly afford to spend $10-15 per hive on maintenance. I am still hoping we get a way to purchase the oxalic slow release, Aluen CAP.
