"Yes it is. But based upon my actual testing, it's long enough for
sometimes a substantial portion of the OA to degrade"
This statement tells me nothing at all. If half of the oxalic acid degrades to formic acid I do not care at all. In fact, perhaps I should be happy?
If half of it degrades to carbon monoxide I do not care at all. Oxalic acid is dirt cheap so there is no real cost to some loss. Even if 90% degrades to carbon monoxide why should I care? That is well below the level that would harm my bees and if what is not degraded kills my mites I am a happy camper. I know that the ProVap kills mites. That is why I bought it. Arguing about some degradation is total nonsense if it does the job I want it to do. You would get some degradation if you sublimed at room temperature. But, for sure you would never sublime enough to kill any mites at that temp.
