About ten days ago I went to my beehives to get some stings in my hands for arthritis and to keep my immunity up. A few stings around my knuckles and I was done. About three hours later I could not even tell that I was stung.
Then yesterday while trying to clear some brush, down on my hands and knees, I got stung on my elbow. I only got a glimpse of what stung me as it flew away. In minutes my elbow swelled up, got warm and the pain was more than a bee sting. It was not a honey bee because there was no stinger. This morning the pain is still there (not as bad), it is still a little swollen and still warm.
So my question is what stung me? Does it mean that what stung me had more venom than a honey bee? Does it mean that it had a different venom than I wasn’t used to?
Just wondering.
