The TF/Bond/Darwinian proponents predicate their belief that honey bees can quickly shift their genome to be sufficiently Varroa-proof on the idea that selective pressures will drive that genome shift without imperiling the survival of the species.

And at the same time, these folks will lament the disappearance/threat to many species due to human activity, climate change etc.
