re: the PNAS stude "Insect decline in the Anthropocene"
I have a working rule that when a study uses the word "Anthropocene", the author has assumed its conclusions long before the collection of any data. It's not a perfect rule but it's been distressingly reliable so far. And that particular article certainly lived down to my expectations.
