I was able to modify some JzBz queen cell cups by heating them and pressing
in a custom-ground 10 mm rod to deform the opening to 10 mm diameter, as
opposed to the original 8 mm.  The depth of the cups remained the same.

We had a heat wave, so I got a really bad take on the cells, but i got two
jumbos to take for proof of concept, and to compare queen development to
that of regular cells in the same cell builder.

Photo 1 attached: The upper row of cells were in 8 mm standard cups; the
two below were in 10 mm jumbo cups.
The weight difference in the one jumbo pupa that I compared to one regular
pupa was small (I understand that an n of one means little).

Photo 2:  Of interest was the amount of jelly remaining in the regular cell
(typical for this particular graft).  Obviously, that queen had not been
limited by food.

I hope to graft again this week and get a better take for comparison.
