<><><> I know that dipped plastic foundation usually has a uniform covering of wax but was wondering if foam roller applied wax would be just as effective? Don't have enough wax nor big enough tub for heating wax for dipping foundation (even the Illinois foundation I use).
Mike in LA

Mike, like you I did not want a tub so big and full of (expensive) wax that it would work to dip the foundation. Instead, I bought a big electric frying pan (holds around 5 lb melted beeswax) and a wide paintbrush. The brush and wax just live in the frying pan, and that keeps the mess to a minimum.

I tried a foam roller, but the heat of the melted wax is tough on them, and you get a wax spray off the roller all over you and everything else close by. The brush is a lot easier and tidier, and goes just as fast.
