Subject: Swarming in a new light
Since we are discussing swarming and sometimes denigrating the impulse just
remember in the age of varroa swarming is a survival mechanism. I have a
colony living in the wall of my house as unwanted guests going on 4 years
now that throws a big swarm every year. Then I read about average losses
of 37% nationwide. Something to at least think about and perhaps to act on
thoughtfully
