My guess is you can go to the same location in Wisconsin today and achieve
the same results in increase
>I am thinking that you are talking about improving the selection process of keeping bees and I am talking about habitat. Strategies in keeping bees should be the first agenda item but that takes experience (experience in keeping bees and experience in keeping bee at a given location).  Wisconsin circa 1972 is not the same as it is now.  Lots of little dairy then and now wall to wall corn or soybean. At the end of the line when a beekeeper with 30 years of experience tells me his per hive yield is now half what it was way back when... what should I believe?
