Do we know the duration that this pesticide remains in the wax?

I appreciate the point that Richard makes regarding the lack of a mite drop
after Apivar is removed.

However, were it not for BEE-L I'd still have taken Apivar's advertisement
at face value, and assumed "no residues" remain within the colony or the
wax.

Presumably, this would also indicate that the plastic strips have a longer
shelf life than advertised?
