If one accepts this anecdote as more than an anecdote, we are still left
with the basic question about the nectar.
Why does the strain of plant that is so invasive produce such
copious/high-sugar nectar if this is not part of the plant's success?
If seeds are rarely created, why produce nectar at all?
Where's the payoff for the plant?
