Not about candyboards, winter feeding, etc.
Aaron Morris participated in Cornell's Feeder Watch every winter, and would
email my wife, who also participates, to comment (ok, "brag") about the many
different species of birds appearing at his many feeders.
He said more than once that the trials and tribulations of his bees were
sometimes depressing, but the birds brought nothing but happiness.
Feeder Watch starts this weekend, and it is a valuable "citizen science"
effort, as tracking birds requires many eyes in many places.
Participation or a donation would be a good way for US beekeepers to
remember Aaron fondly.
No expertise is required, the website is an excellent tool, and this is very
"suitable for children", as it only takes a few minutes per day.
