I find this very interesting, since over the past few weeks we've been
learning how to use mini mating nucs. Allowing them to settle down in a
cool room for a couple of days appeared to help reduce drifting when they
were later placed out, but we're still experimenting.
On the other hand, when our observation hives at our county fair used to be
confined for five days, when I brought them back home, the bees went
straight back to their original location.
Charlie--this seems to be an area in which we could sure use some more
research!
