plastic aversion?

I was testing the effect of color, so that was the only variable.
Both the black and "yellow" foundation were beeswax-coated plastic, from
the same manufacturer, with the
same amount of sprayed beeswax on them.

As pointed out by others, not only the thickness of the beeswax applied to
plastic foundation, but also the odor of the particular beeswax
can make a large difference on how readily the bees draw out the wax.

As far as beewax foundation vs. plastic foundation, it's not a black or
white decision.  To many of us, the pros of plastic outweigh the cons.
