Does anyone have a drawing, advertisement, or photograph of the old-style, simple hive scale, that was sold by many bee supply houses before electronic scales became common.
It was a simple platform scale that sat underneath the hive, a crescent-shaped decal that was applied to the side of the hive, and a pointer arm linked to the platform that pointed to the 'weight' on the crescent decal?
If so, can you please send to me at [log in to unmask]   I'm giving a talk about modern technologies for bee management, and I've lots of the newer electronic scales, but I'd like to contrast that to the simple, inexpensive scales that were common when I started beekeeping.
I'm not necessarily looking for pictures of a hive on a re-purposed platform scale.  I'm looking for the scale sold by the bee equipment suppliers.  These used to be very common, but I'm coming up short on an image search.
