Fellow Histarchers,
I have come across an iron jar lid clamp. It is iron but the turn screw is glass. I have seen photos, illustrations, and patents for jar clamps with metal turn screws but never glass ones. So far my library is of no help. The artifact came from fill soil that mostly contains artifacts from the second half of the 20th century but there are the occasional artifacts from the second half of the 19th. C. Anyone run across one of these before?
