*Several questions have arisen in the OA vapor debate, is it crystals on
the bees? *
Yes (IMO based on the previous discussion on this subject), the fine
crystals (OA condensates once it reaches a certain temperature outside of
the vaporizing capsule) coat the bees, the mites crawl on the fine
crystals, the OA is absorbed through their moist footpads, lower the pH of
the mite and kill it. Charle's experiments clearly demonstrated how even
very small amounts of OA absorbed through the moist footpads kill mites.
Mites, for reasons I do not understand are incredibly sensitive to pH
changes.
