Actually, Dr Seeley has written an entire book on this, so any discussion would have to include all of that, too. 

Meanwhile, there are several other points which need elaborating:

1) Survival of the honey bee in a given locale is not assured. Varroa mite was introduced to an offshore California Island to eradicate the honey bee, which it did.

2) Where will these neo-Darwinists get more bees? Dr Seeley told me that the "let alone" hives perished at the rate of about 30% per year. 

Simple math shows you will be out of business in three or four years. Unless you capture swarms, which could be from anybody's bees.
