Sorry to belabor the point but this is exactly what I am saying: plenty of people have attempted to breed hygienic, resistant, tolerant bees for many many decades. People will keep trying of course, but if you don't look at what they did and why it didn't work, you are bound to make the same mistake. 

If I was going to try to climb the side of a mountain that hundreds of others had tried and failed, it would be pretty stupid not to figure out what they did and why they failed, instead of just blundered on up. You've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?"
