Dear HistArch,
I'm looking for help with 17th century metallurgy and slags, and would appreciate any pointers to folks who might be able to test some samples for me.  I've got several samples a chemist has tentatively identified as likely being slags resulting from iron ore processing, copper ore processing, and possibly glassmaking trials.  I need to confirm this and confirm that they are not the result of normal blacksmithing or household fires.
Any ideas who I might ask? I do have a little funding to cover costs, at least.
Cheers!John
