Hi Everyone!
I'm on the hunt for some comparative examples of wells and drains in
basements. The images available in the link below show a recently excavated
1830s basement with a brick-lined well and a brick drain. The drain system
was a later addition based on brick manufacture. This basement also
contained a barrel lined well that likely pre-dated the brick well. These
are my initial interpretations as formal analysis has just begun. If you
have any examples you could send my way I would greatly appreciate it!
