Boy, do I see that with many bee researchers! I demonstrated to a visiting
grad student yesterday how to take samples of bees from the entrance. She
was amazed by how I was able to do it in a fraction of the time that she'd
been doing it for months, and how easy I made it look.
Unfortunately, much published bee research is done by those who may be good
scientists, but who lack the comfort and perspective to make observations
relevant to honey bees overall.
