Well, the fact is that they do!

I have just finished searching through my Stud Book to look at the performance of queens that came from grafts and I found no evidence that any of them were inferior to naturally produced queens in any way, either in terms of longevity or performance.  I should perhaps add that I do not routinely use grafting to produce large numbers of queens; rather, I use it to increase my stock of queens from lines that I consider to be desirable, i.e. it is a breeding tool.
