>Has anyone ever found glazed looking pollen frames in their hives?
>I would say this is extremely common, not even notable. I always figured bees put a little layer of honey over the pollen to protect it.
The interesting additional information comes from Don's dissection photos where it's evident that the pollen was stored and capped with honey at different levels in a single cell- a kind of bee-bread layer cake made from separate pollen types.
