We have been seeing some good discussions here lately on BEE-L and we
see that quoting is diminishing toward the ideal (zero quotes of recent
previous messages). Message formatting also has been improving greatly.
We are still, however, seeing messages addressed to specific individuals
rather than the group and a few messages with a tone or content--whether
intended or not-- that seem likely to us to cause others to flame up,
shut up, or leave. We simply kill those.
Some topics like polar bears is wandering from our core mandate, but
continue to be interesting enough and with potential to be revealing
that we let them run on a ways. Usually they die a natural death or
matters return to bees without need for euthanasia.
It is gratifying to see more people step in and we hope to see more have
the courage to participate.
There are various ways to subscribe and participate so visit
https://www.bee-l.org for more hints. Daily or real-time emails can be
formatted in different ways which you can set yourself. There is also a
web page where BEE-L can be experienced as a forum (the archives) for
those who prefer. Check it out.
Contributions from around the world are especially appreciated and we do
welcome posts in languages other than English but we
seldom(unfortunately) receive any.
