I just posted a set of photos from Moldova showing plastic sheets over
frames, a man wiring a frame, and to me, the most interesting is a set of
photos are of an older woman beekeeper in her mid 70's opening up a
horizontal hive. You can see her lift the (heavy) lid, peel back the reed
mat, lift the boards used as an inner cover, and the final photo shows her
holding a frame with one of my colleagues holding a frame from the new
'national' hive the beekeepers designed so they could have an easier hive
to work. You can see one of the new hives in the foreground with a USAID
sticker on it. Not sure why but people love blue paint on bee hives in
Moldova!

The older photos are from Ethiopia, Malawi, Romania, Republic of Georgia,
and Nepal.
