>BetterComb is a completely drawn comb made of food-grade, virgin, synthetic wax, similar in composition to beeswax.

What exactly is a "similar" composition to beeswax? We know a fair amount about how real beeswax attracts toxic lipids in a hive environment (Mullins 2010) but how will a synthetic accumulate toxins and how will a synthetic interact with critical hive elements like brood food, etc.

Also, when a colony draws comb, doesn't the metabolic process help rid the colony of harmful bacterial spores like AFB and maybe others. It wouldn't surprise me if comb creation has plenty of beneficial side-effects that we know very little about.
