There is some pretty strong evidence from South Africa. Also from South
America up through Texas.
And Dr. Tom Seeley recently pointed out to me that when you do the math, it
appears that there are greater numbers of untreated self-perpetuating Apis
mellifera hives existing in the forests of New York State than there are
managed hives.
