I agree with Medhat on the math, and with Frank on the likely scant effect
upon varroa reproduction overall, other than for the possibility of a
single unmated female mite being theoretically able to establish a new
clonal population, if she's really lucky.
The thing that is most amazing to me is that it's taking this long for
researchers to learn the basic biology of this economically-important
parasite.
