a short Jerry Bromenshenk snip followed by > my question or comment...
the health certificate requirement is federal (Interstate)

> So in referencing your own and Peter B. comment my question is how does this work if a state has no inspection service or no agency to produce the health certificate?* Evidently (from what I take from some other comments) the state that do have inspection services may have limited capacity to even recognize disease?

> We have a young and growing inspection service here and I largely applaud their work and have no doubt that they are very educated in recognizing disease. They may not be highly experienced but I have no doubt about their capabilities to recognize disease, pest and pathogens related to honeybee.

> It does seem a lot of the old laws were about AFB and with the curtailment of TM we will see is that disease is something in the past or not!

>* The proposed law here seems to say that this will be required for the transport of bees and equipment into or through Texas.... so I am really trying to figure out how you would navigate this law if the state from which a hive originated has no program to issue a health certificate.

Gene in Central Texas...
