Looking close, these look exactly like the SHB larva that were fungal infected from a trail last summer. Almost looking like a little hot pocket. Dead and the outer shell appearing to be "toasted" inside nothing but liquid.
Its hard to describe, but looking close at the bees around it also makes me think it’s the same thing.
In that trial it was a function of some strange effects from an experimental treatment for SHB larve. It seemed to have zero effect on bee larvae in a very limited trial, but all the SHB larvae that came in contact with it looked like crispy little fruit pies with the 2 black antenna and body segments being identifiable, mush like they appear in that photo.
When touched with a sharp tool they were crisp and ruptured completely.
