> I purchased wax cups from Rossman; they still sell them and at about 3 cents apiece, they are certainly cheap enough. But lastly, they are malleable so that the bees can resize them as they see fit.
Very easy to make.
Piece of 3/8" dowel rounded and smoothed at the end.
Something to melt the wax (I used an old coffee percolator).
Ideally you need a depth stop. I drilled a hole in a piece of wood and inserted the dowel; needs to be tight enough not to move easily.
Soak the end of the dowel in water.
Dip in the wax, then into cold water.
Repeat two or three times.
Pull off the cup.
If you have a young child they will love to do this and will make hundreds!
Best wishes
Peter
