In 1886 Australia imported some Cyprian queens from Frank Benton in Cyprus.

In 1904 Australia also imported some Cyprian queens from Benton's Cyprian Apiaries in Washington USA.  Not sure if that was Washington DC or Washington State.

In 1952 some more Cyprian queens were imported into Australia, not sure where from, but they were said to be aggressive.
