I live in Dorset on the south coast of England, UK. Braula was common here until Varroa arrived, in 1993 in my area. I started (mis)treating the Varroa with Bayvarol strips and didn't see another Braula until 2,000 when, looking at a friend's hive near Stamullen in Ireland, I saw one and, at first, mistook it for a Varroa mite, which would have been the first in Ireland if I was correct!  I've seen no more Braula in the UK.
