I always carry alcohol for sterilization.   It can dry out hands, and while wet with alcohol, it can set off stinging by bees.  Once dry, it seems to be reasonably efficient at removing or covering alarm pheromone.  Alcohol is also handing if your fuel gets a bit damp and doesn't want to ignite.
