I’m pleased to announce that I recently accepted the position of Editor of American Bee Journal. I will officially be on board the last week of November.

I inherit a proud tradition that dates back to Samuel Wagner and L.L. Langstroth, names that arguably do not belong in the same sentence as mine. I don’t expect to please everyone at all times – no one can – but I promise that ABJ will continue to do its best to inform and educate the beekeepers of the 21st century.

I got internet about the same time I got bees, and immediately went looking for sources of information about my new hobby. I came across Bee-L and have been here ever since. The collective knowledge and wisdom of this group continue to play a role in my education as a beekeeper, and I look forward to working with those of you who are, or will be, contributors to ABJ.

Eugene Makovec
