Yes.  In Donze 1994, he states:

"By contrast with the short feeding bouts of 2.7 min on the prepupa, the first feed by the adult female on the pupae lasts 60 +/- 25 min.

That observation supports Ramsey's findings.


I am curious as to how this may actually relate to the mite engourgment observations we have been discussing.
