>>>  When I started beekeeping 40 years ago the boast was 'My bees are yellower than yours!<><><>   Back then, I think the thinking was that honeybee traits were associated with color.  And remember, back then the worst problem beekeepers had was American foul brood (I think), no varroa, tracheal mite, or small hive beetle.   Those were the good ole days.  <GRIN>
