Trevor-

According to my records, Iotron, the Canadian plant, does 2 passes at 10 kGy as standard for bee equipment. I wonder if one or two passes makes a difference to EFB and chalkbrood?

Unfortunately, I just couldn't write fast enough while taking notes on the presentation by Mike. He was comparing the effects of different levels of irradiation. In light of your post I can see how it's important to know the level.

My boxes get shipped 1200km to Vancouver and it comes out to around $10CAD/box with shipping. Quite a few beekeepers do this in Alberta. I know it's not as common in the US.
