Due to continued requests for Volume 25 of *BEADS: Journal of the Society
of Bead Researchers*, it has been reprinted in a limited quantity. It is a
hefty issue with 104 pages of text and 20 color plates.

It contains three useful articles. Of relevance to North American bead
researchers is "Beads from the Hudson’s Bay Company’s Principal Depot, York
Factory, Manitoba, Canada," by Karlis Karklins and Gary F. Adams.

This extensive report presents a detailed description of the 277 different
varieties of glass, ceramic, plastic, metal, and bone beads that were
recovered from the site of York Factory III which was occupied from 1792 to
1957. A color macro photograph of each variety is provided.

The other articles are:

Early Chinese Faience and Glass Beads and Pendants, by Simon Kwan;
translated by Jeffrey A. Keller

Chinese Bead Curtains, Past and Present, by Valerie Hector

Copies are available for $24.50 postpaid to US addresses and $34.00 to
overseas destinations. If interested, please contact me [log in to unmask]
and I will send you a PayPal invoice.
