Nice post Charlie.

However, the logical fallacy chart has nothing to do with political
correctness.  Rather it has to do with pointing the errors in logic
commonly used in debate.  Accepting an error in a logical path can lead to
erroneous conclusions.

If one takes the time to understand the listed fallacies, I guarantee that
it will sharpen their thinking.  The largest benefit is that it helps to
sort through all the media that promote often-convincing arguments.  The
logical fallacies are used by both sides of many arguments, and if you
aren't looking for the fallacies, the arguments can sound very convincing
and logical, despite their conclusions being fallacious.
