I believe it was Dave Tarpy who had an article a couple months back about the genetic caste of queen eggs and the workers ability to discerene.
If I recall the bottom line was there are 3 caste in the hive, the queen use the "royal caste" when she picks, but workers didn’t care, and there was no difference in queen productivity?
Someone else may have read that article closer or have a link to it??
Side not, anyone know of a good scale for weighing queens?
