For years I sent honey to Vaughn Bryant's lab. I learned that the quantity of pollen from a particular plant's blossom does not correspond to the amount of nectar from a particular honey sample. An example is milkweed, where bees may bring in a lot of nectar from the blossoms, but very little if any milkweed pollen grains will be seen, due to their large size (pollen packets/pollonia). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5648680/
