Obviously, they don't make it if they don't need it .....<><><>   Thinking off the top of my head (dangerous in my case) I'm wondering if the chemical composition of bees wax has been taken into consideration.  Are any atoms found in the bees wax molecule found to contain any atoms which are not found in the sugar molecule?  Are any atoms found in the bees wax molecule found to bee in in the protein(s) molecule(s) but are not found to be in the sugar molecule?
