I wonder if you have seen "From Hybrid Swarms to Swarms of Hybrids" by Thomas J. Stohlgren, et al. There are a lot of maps and models in this paper. They state:
> The models show that Africanized honey bee and European honey bees have diametrically opposite areas of habitat suitability and occurrence.
I think it's an interesting study but what is also notable is the lack of citations. I only see two places where their work was cited but neither is about bees at all.
