You mean like killing all the bees in a skep with sulfur in order to get
the honey?  Or plundering colonies in tree cavities for their winter
stores?  Or using cyanide to kill all your hives in autumn to extract the
honey?  Oh yes, good old-fashioned beekeeping, just not so good for the
bees.
